In-person: The Connected Heart – qigong and insight meditation with Jaya Rudgard

17 July 2022 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

£12.00 – £25.00

EVENT DESCRIPTION

An in-person day of practice dedicated to the meditative cultivation of the Brahma Viharas, the “boundless heart” qualities of kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity. In qigong, summer is associated with fire, the element of the heart and of the heart qualities of joy and love. We’ll look at some of the ways these qualities become blocked and how we can reconnect with them through the skilful use of movement and meditation.

About Qigong:
Qigong (pronounced chee gong, meaning energy skill) is rooted in the contemplative and healing arts of ancient China. It develops mindfulness and promotes physical health, mental clarity and emotional balance. It is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness and most health conditions and can be adapted to the needs of each practitioner.
