In-person: Rest, Regenerate and Reset with Ajahn Sucitto

EVENT OVERVIEW

Rest and regeneration are natural requirements and should be straightforward enough. But it isn’t always so easy – there may be sleep disorders; maybe we’re still buzzing with the high activity of a day; maybe the problems of that day are keeping us awake. And even when we do get a few hours of downtime, we can wake up groggy or in a negative state, not fresh.

Taking a break for a few days – or doing physical exercise – can be very helpful but they don’t always penetrate into the source of our straining and tangling in our minds. This weekend is about cultivating rest and regeneration through meditation and inquiry.

There will be periods of sitting, standing, walking and reclining meditation and also some qi gong. All experience levels are welcome.

Events at London Insight are offered in a spirit of generosity. The price you pay goes towards the running of the event but does not include any payment to the teachers for their teaching. ACCESSIBILITY

Please note that Colet House where the event is held, has a staircase leading up to the studio space used. There is a stair lift available, but no regular lift. There are also a few steps to access the building, but a ramp can be put out if required. If you have any concerns around walking steps/a staircase, please contact us before booking so that we are aware of any accessibility needs you may have and can ensure we are able to meet them. BOOKING

You may attend the Saturday or both days. However, Ajahn Sucitto asks that you do not commit to the Sunday session without attending the previous day. Hence, in the ticket options below you will be able to book for Saturday only, or for both Saturday and Sunday. Please also note that the retreat is non-residential.

Sponsor for Saturday only:  £50 – A voluntary higher rate enabling us to offer supported rate places.
Standard for Saturday only:  £35
Supported for Saturday only:  £15 – For those unable to afford the standard rate.

Sponsor for Saturday & Sunday:  £100 – A voluntary higher rate enabling us to offer supported rate places.
Standard for Saturday & Sunday:  £70
Supported for Saturday & Sunday:  £30 – For those unable to afford the standard rate.

Please pay the sponsor rate if you can. If you are unable to afford the supported rate, please let us know. We try to ensure that no one is turned away because of lack of funds, providing places are available.
