Online: Maranasati: Contemplating death to liberate your life with Martin Aylward
13 February 2021 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
This online day retreat will be held via zoom. Please register via the tickets below and you will be sent a zoom link on the evening of Fri 12th February.
We’re all going to die, and we don’t know when, nor how. Death is always in the air, the only certainty awaiting our fragile, precious, fleeting lives. Dharma practice shows us how to lean into this stark truth – meeting and embracing our dying nature so as to live more fully and freely. Our collective awareness of and exposure to death is increasingly highlighted through the Covid pandemic, the threat of ecological collapse, and the recognition of how not all lives are equally valued. A day of potent practices and liberating teachings for living fully and dying freely.
The day will include periods of sitting and walking meditation, a Dharma talk, time for reflection/Q&A.
TEACHER SUPPORT AND EVENT PRICES
Events at London Insight are offered in a spirit of generosity. The price you pay goes towards the running of the event but does not include any payment to the teachers for their teaching. Instead our teachers rely on the generosity of participants for their livelihood. Click here to donate to Martin. Click here for more information on the system of Dana.
As at any other retreat or workshop we encourage you to offer Dana to teachers at these events so that they have financial support during this period. Similarly London Insight is also making a charge for online events to cover our overhead costs so that we will be able to continue to offer a rich and varied programme of live events and workshops once this challenging time is over.
