Online: Finding Joy and Equanimity in a Turbulent World with John Peacock
25 October 2026 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
£12.00 – £29.00EVENT DESCRIPTION
It appears to be increasingly difficult to find any peace and tranquillity in a world that is never ending turmoil, societal, political and economic.
Early Buddhist teachings place much emphasis on the importance of the cultivation of friendliness and compassion, but what often gets neglected are the teachings on both joy and equanimity, which are of equal importance.
Out of a deep appreciation for the joys and sufferings of the world, arises a deep sense of equanimity that neither clings to suffering or joy, and is a balanced engagement with what we encounter in our lives – both the joys and sorrows. This day will focus on the practice of joy and equanimity. All are welcome.
