Awareness and the path of human flourishing with John Peacock

29 March 2020 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

All too often the path of awareness and meditation is seen as simply the path to the overcoming of human distress. Whilst this is important, what gets neglected is that the path is also one which leads to a flourishing in the face of the difficulties and distress that we encounter in day-to-day life. If we reduce the practice to merely a palliative procedure we lose that which is of vital importance to our lives: not only do we want to learn to deal more effectively with our forms of distress but also want to live more flourishing and connected lives. This day is devoted to the role that meditation plays in helping us to re-encounter the sense of wonder that is at the heart of human flourishing.

The day will consist of sitting and walking meditation practice, talks and a question and answer session.
