In-person: A Whole Life Practice with Jake Dartington
14 March 2026 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
£15.00 – £50.00EVENT DESCRIPTION
On this day retreat we will explore a vision of our whole life as a field of practice. The Buddha’s teachings link our meditative explorations with every aspect of our life including how we relate to others, earn our living, and the values expressed by our actions.
We will make links between contemporary theories and Buddhist teachings on the eightfold path and the classical guidance for lay people in the Sigalovada Sutta. Thich Nhat Hanh’s Mindfulness Trainings and the research on the ‘Blue Zones’ will also be inspiration for a vision of a flourishing life that finds a way through the particular obstacles to well-being we find in today’s society.
As well as talks and periods of practice, there will be opportunities to ask questions and share reflections on this theme.
