Urban elements: the dharma of your body in the city with Anushka Fernandopulle
19 August 2018 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
In this daylong we will practice mindfulness of the body to recognize how we reflect and are made up of elements of nature. We will engage with a modern version of the ancient Buddhist practice of the four elements (earth, air, fire, water) which can be done through contemplation and direct experience. This practice leads to insight and liberation. You do not need to go into the forest to meditate! Come learn how we can recognize our nature and find our path of development in the midst of sidewalks, air conditioning, the Tube and our breath, flesh and bones
