The sacred art of listening: medicine for our times with Jaya Karen Rudgard

2 February 2020 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Deep listening is a badly needed medicine for today’s difficult times. We can learn to listen and respond better to our own bodies, hearts and minds, to those of each other, and to our living world around us. Drawing on our own mindful encounter with lived experience and the wisdom of early Buddhist teachings, we will explore through silent practice, reflection and inquiry how we might go about finding, amidst all the turbulence, the seeds of creativity and positive action as well as the peace and happiness we long for.

Experienced practitioners and newcomers are equally welcome. There will be periods of guided sitting and walking meditation, teaching and mindful inquiry within a framework of noble silence. Some optional guided mindful movement will also be offered.

Events at London Insight are offered in a spirit of generosity. The price you pay goes towards the running of the event but does not include any payment to the teachers for their teaching. Instead our teachers rely on the generosity of participants for their livelihood. You will be invited to make a financial contribution to the teacher – click here for more information.
