A course for experienced practitioners – please note commitment is required for the whole course

The Buddha describes the Brahma Viharas of Friendliness, Compassion, Joy and Equanimity as being pathways that lead to understandings that serve to bring greed, hatred and confusion to an end. The Buddha’s teachings on the potential of human beings to flounder in distress and confusion sit alongside the teachings of the potential of very human being for knowing directly the immeasurable kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity that serve to being distress and confusion to an end.

Over the four days of this programme we will be reflecting on how to develop these pathways and access the understanding they offer.

Each day will offer teachings, time for discussion/questions and peer groups in a backdrop of silence.

Our intention with this course is to gather a group of committed and experienced practitioners to work together. As such we are asking for applicants to who have an established and committed practice with the following experience:

  • 1 week’s residential retreat experience
  • 5 years of practice
  • A regular meditation practice

Please check that you meet these criteria before booking this course. If you do not meet any of these criteria, this course is not appropriate for you at this time.
