Online: Practising with difficult emotions with Chris Cullen

Fully Booked

29 April 2020 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

This online evening will be held via zoom.  Please register via the tickets below and you will be sent a zoom link during the day on Wednesday 29th April.  We’re offering this small gathering consciously limiting the numbers to allow more people to ask questions if they wish.

For many people, the current lockdown and covid-19 crisis are understandably intensifying difficult emotions such as fear, anxiety, loneliness, anger and grief. During this session we will explore ways of working with such emotions using practices and perspectives derived from the Buddha’s teachings. Some of these are summarised in the acronym “G.R.A.I.N.” [“Grounding, Recognising, Allowing, Investigating, Non-identifying”].

We will consider ways of practising with emotions, moods and mental states so as to hold them with greater kindness and compassion such that they contribute to liberating insights and understandings.

The session will include Dharma reflections, guided practice and a chance to connect with others as we explore skilful ways of working with difficult emotions and moods that we may be experiencing at this time. All are welcome to attend.

TEACHER SUPPORT AND EVENT PRICES

Events at London Insight are offered in a spirit of generosity. The price you pay goes towards the running of the event but does not include any payment to the teachers for their teaching. Instead our teachers rely on the generosity of participants for their livelihood. You will be invited to make a financial contribution to the teacher – click here for more information.  Please make donations to Chris here

EVENT PRICES

As at any other retreat or workshop we encourage you to offer Dana to teachers at these events so that they have financial support during this period.  Similarly London Insight is also making a charge for online events to cover our overhead costs so that we will be able to continue to offer a rich and varied programme of live events and workshops once this challenging time is over.  We appreciate your support.

Flat rate: £5

If you are unable to afford this please let us know. We try to ensure that no one is turned away because of lack of funds.
