DESCRIPTION:This online half day retreat will be held via zoom.  Please register via the tickets below and you will be sent a zoom link on the evening of Sat 12th December. \nSometimes people practise meditation in order to cultivate a calm emotional state. While there is a place for this\, strong emotions continue to arise in the midst of the personal\, ecological and political challenges we face. How do we work with these skilfully? Is it helpful to see emotions as ‘positive’ and ‘negative’? And how does this fit with the ‘non-judgemental’ stance often associated with mindfulness? We’ll explore these questions through talks\, guided practices\, and sitting and walking meditation. \nTEACHER SUPPORT AND EVENT PRICES \nEvents at London Insight are offered in a spirit of generosity. The price you pay goes towards the running of the event but does not include any payment to the teachers for their teaching. Instead our teachers rely on the generosity of participants for their livelihood. You will be invited to make a financial contribution  – click here for more information. \nEVENT PRICES \nStandard: £20.00 – This covers our costs but not the cost of providing supported places\nSponsor: £25.00 – A voluntary higher rate enabling us to offer supported rate places.\nSupported: £12.00 – For those unable to afford the standard rate \nPlease pay the sponsor rate if you can. \nIf you are unable to afford the supported rate please let us know. We try to ensure that no one is turned away because of lack of funds. \n
