DESCRIPTION:EVENT OVERVIEW\nThis online day retreat offers an opportunity to explore how the practice of meditation and mindful awareness can support us in cultivating calmness and clarity of mind and heart. This can gradually free us from unhelpful and reactive tendencies\, and enable us to maintain steadiness and well-being in the midst of the ups and downs of life. Meditation is traditionally seen as including practices for both tranquillity and insight; we will consider how these come together in the path to an awakened life. \nOpen to both new and experienced meditators. The day will include meditation instructions\, guided and silent practice\, a short talk\, and time for questions and inquiry. \n  \nTEACHER SUPPORT AND EVENT PRICES\nEvents at London Insight are offered in a spirit of generosity. The price you pay goes towards the running of the event but does not include any payment to the teachers for their teaching. Instead\, our teachers rely on the generosity of participants for their livelihood. Click here for more information on the system of Dana. \n  \nEVENT PRICES\nThanks to your continuing support for our events\, we are continuing to offer a reduced price for our online events and we hope this will be of benefit particularly to people who have been adversely affected by the economic impact of the Covid pandemic. \nStandard:  £12  – This covers our costs.\nSponsor:  £15  – A voluntary higher rate enabling us to offer supported rate places.\nSupported:  £5  – For those unable to afford the standard rate. \nPlease pay the sponsor rate if you can. \nIf you are unable to afford the supported rate\, please let us know. We try to ensure that no one is turned away because of lack of funds\, providing places are available. \nPlease note that the Zoom access details are sent via e-mail the day before the event\, or the morning of the event for late bookings.
