SUMMARY:Online: Introduction to Insight Meditation
DESCRIPTION:This is a six-week online course taught by James Blake and Clare Brunt\, running on Wednesday evenings 13th October to 17th November 2021\, from 7pm to 8:30pm. \n  \nCOURSE OVERVIEW\nIntroduction to Insight Meditation is a course for anyone interested in learning some basic meditation practices and exploring the ways in which meditation can enhance our life experience.  The course is based on Buddhist teachings from the Insight tradition\, and is open to people of all beliefs or none. \nA number of meditations will be taught\, for instance focussing on the breath\, on sounds\, and on the body\, giving you a chance to explore which practices work best for you. \nThere will also be short experiential exercises each week\, and brief talks discussing the value of these practices and looking at how we can cultivate a meditation practice. \n  \nTEACHER SUPPORT AND EVENT PRICES\nEvents at London Insight are offered in a spirit of generosity. The price you pay goes towards the running of the event but does not include any payment to the teachers for their teaching. Instead\, our teachers rely on the generosity of participants for their livelihood. Click here for more information on the system of Dana. \n  \nEVENT PRICES\nThanks to your continuing support for our events\, we are continuing to offer a reduction in prices for our online events.
