DESCRIPTION:This retreat day will be offered online via Zoom as well as in-person at The ARC Centre in London\, on Saturday July 2nd from 10am to 5pm. \n  \nEVENT DESCRIPTION \nThe Buddha’s teachings remind us repeatedly that nothing stands alone; existing from its own side\, independent of a network of causes and conditions. This is a useful map with which to view the way experience is constructed; whether our inner life or the larger processes that shape the natural world and the planet we are part of. We are all impacted and interconnected; in relationship with each other and with the universe itself.  \nIn this crucial time for our planet\, these teachings are essential not just for us as individuals\, but for our societies\, other species and the earth.  \nOn this day retreat we will explore how Dharma teachings can support us in meeting the climate emergency in ways that sustain and energise us; allowing skilful action to come through with wisdom and compassion.  \n  \nTEACHER SUPPORT AND EVENT PRICES \nEvents at London Insight are offered in a spirit of generosity. The price you pay goes towards the running of the event but does not include any payment to the teachers for their teaching. Instead our teachers rely on the generosity of participants for their livelihood. Click here for more information on the system of Dana. \n  \nEVENT PRICES \nSponsor in-person:  £25  – A voluntary higher rate enabling us to offer supported rate places.\nStandard in-person:  £20  – This covers our costs.\nSupported in-person: £12  – For those unable to afford the standard rate. \nSponsor online:  £15  – A voluntary higher rate enabling us to offer supported rate places.\nStandard online:  £12  – This covers our costs.\nSupported online: £5  – For those unable to afford the standard rate. \nPlease pay the sponsor rate if you can. \nIf you are unable to afford the supported rate please let us know. We try to ensure that no one is turned away because of lack of funds\, providing places are available. \n  \nCOVID 19 RELATED CONSIDERATIONS FOR IN-PERSON EVENTS \nWe are delighted to offer in-person events in London again. We are doing all that we can to create a safe and supportive environment for in-person events. We are keeping up to date with the government guidelines. We are also guided by each venue’s Health and Safety measures with regard to capacity\, cleaning measures and safety systems. Prior to each event we will send you further information about what to expect on the day. \nPlease note that the event has tickets for attending online via zoom or for attending in-person. Please make sure that you book the correct ticket. Online Zoom access details will be sent in the morning of the event for late bookings. Tickets will be available in person on the day at the venue\, if exact cash amount is brought.
