Making whole: understanding mindfulness and inner awakening with John Teasdale
14 November 2020 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
It has been suggested that there is a need for a Universal Dharma – a new way to talk about and understand the origins and healing of human suffering, and the possibilities of a radically different way of being in the world, without using the language of any particular contemplative tradition. In this talk I will explore how a psychological framework of understanding that played a key role in the development of Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) can be usefully extended to help us understand mindfulness more generally, and the possibilities of further inner awakening.
The workshop will include periods of sitting meditation, talks, pair/interactive work and opportunities for questions and answers.
