DESCRIPTION:EVENT DESCRIPTION\nIn this contemporary culture that glorifies individuality\, self-expression\, intellect and original ideas—and is also navel-gazing—one of the hardest things not to identify with is the content of our minds: the thoughts and inner chatter that we take to define who we are. But then what does it mean to look within? Who are we\, if not our thoughts? \nThinking is a gift: it allows us to imagine\, to remember\, and to reflect on what matters. But it can also cloud our judgement and worsen our wellbeing. \nDuring a day of practice and discussion we will explore various skilful ways to relate to the thinking mind\, on and off the cushion\, so it doesn’t get in the way of our life path but without making it our enemy either. \n  \nTEACHER SUPPORT AND EVENT PRICES\nEvents at London Insight are offered in a spirit of generosity. The price you pay goes towards the running of the event but does not include any payment to the teachers for their teaching. Instead our teachers rely on the generosity of participants for their livelihood. Click here for more information on the system of Dana. \n  \nBOOKING FEE\nSponsor: £50 – A voluntary higher rate enabling us to offer supported rate places.\nStandard:  £35\nSupported: £15 – For those unable to afford the standard rate. \nPlease pay the sponsor rate if you can. If you are unable to afford the supported rate please let us know. We try to ensure that no one is turned away because of lack of funds\, providing places are available. \nOnline bookings have now closed for this event.
