DESCRIPTION:EVENT DESCRIPTION\nOn this day retreat\, we will explore how our practice cultivates a wise sense of hope that helps us in times of rapid change and challenge. We will distinguish the near enemy of hope\, that fixates on particular outcomes\, from spiritual hope as an open-hearted quality that enables us to meet uncertainty with wisdom and compassion. \nWe will draw on contemporary and classical teachings to inspire a practice rooted in wise hope. As well as talks and periods of practice\, there will be opportunities to ask questions and share reflections on this theme. \n  \nTEACHER SUPPORT AND EVENT PRICES\nEvents at London Insight are offered in a spirit of generosity. The price you pay goes towards the running of the event but does not include any payment to the teachers for their teaching. Instead our teachers rely on the generosity of participants for their livelihood. Click here for more information on the system of Dana. \n  \nBOOKING FEE\nSponsor: £50 – A voluntary higher rate enabling us to offer supported rate places.\nStandard:  £35\nSupported: £15 – For those unable to afford the standard rate. \nPlease pay the sponsor rate if you can. If you are unable to afford the supported rate please let us know. We try to ensure that no one is turned away because of lack of funds\, providing places are available. \nPlease note that online bookings for this event have now closed. A few tickets will be available at the venue in the morning of the event (but exact cash only as payment).
