DESCRIPTION:EVENT DESCRIPTION\nWe never know what lies ahead and in recent years and months the uncertain and unpredictable nature of existence may have been more obvious and tangible than ever before. In the face of individual and global challenges\, many of us will\, at times\, experience feelings of fear\, sadness\, anger\, grief\, numbness\, confusion and overwhelm.  \nRather than attempting to get away from these unpleasant feelings and to avoid emotionally charged situations\, how can we approach these difficult aspects of life wisely and compassionately\, with a balanced heart-mind? A balanced\, equanimous heart-mind that is able to be with discomfort\, that can accept\, hold and even soothe and release itself. And how can we cultivate and nourish a heart-mind that can see personal and global challenges as wake-up calls for a committed\, compassionate and courageous engagement with ourselves\, each other and the world? \nDuring our day together we will explore the heart-mind’s capacity for compassionate and balanced presence and engagement. There will be periods of sitting and walking meditation\, meditation instructions\, guided practices\, reflections and an opportunity to ask questions. \n  \nTEACHER SUPPORT AND EVENT PRICES\nEvents at London Insight are offered in a spirit of generosity. The price you pay goes towards the running of the event but does not include any payment to the teachers for their teaching. Instead our teachers rely on the generosity of participants for their livelihood. Click here for more information on the system of Dana. \n  \nEVENT PRICES\nStandard:  £20.00  – This covers our costs\nSponsor:  £25.00  – A voluntary higher rate enabling us to offer supported rate places.\nSupported: £12.00  – For those unable to afford the standard rate \nPlease pay the sponsored rate if you can. \nIf you are unable to afford the supported rate please let us know. We try to ensure that no one is turned away because of lack of funds\, providing places are available. \n  \nCOVID 19 RELATED CONSIDERATIONS FOR IN-PERSON EVENTS\nWe are delighted to offer in-person events in London again. We are doing all that we can to create a safe and supportive environment for in-person events\, whilst being mindful of the ongoing guidance relating to covid-19. At this time\, we request that tickets for in-person events are booked in advance. Tickets will not be available on the day at the venue. \nWe are keeping up to date with the government guidelines. We are also guided by each venue’s Health and Safety measures with regard to capacity\, cleaning measures and safety systems. Prior to each event we will send you further information about what to expect on the day.
