DESCRIPTION:EVENT DESCRIPTION\nThe Dhammapada is a collection of some of the earliest teachings of the Buddha. Presented in poetic form they are a guide to navigating our way through the 10\,000 joys and sorrows of every life. The verses are a guide to living a peaceful and awakened life. \nFollowing on from a very well received event with Christina on the Dhammapada in 2024\, on this day she will reflect on a further selection of the verses\, exploring their relevance to our own lives. There will be extended periods of teaching\, time for questions and some formal practice. \n  \nTEACHER SUPPORT AND EVENT PRICES\nEvents at London Insight are offered in a spirit of generosity. The price you pay goes towards the running of the event but does not include any payment to the teachers for their teaching. Instead our teachers rely on the generosity of participants for their livelihood. Click here for more information on the system of Dana. \n  \nBOOKING FEE\nSponsor: £50 – A voluntary higher rate enabling us to offer supported rate places.\nStandard:  £35\nSupported: £15 – For those unable to afford the standard rate. \nPlease pay the sponsor rate if you can. If you are unable to afford the supported rate please let us know. We try to ensure that no one is turned away because of lack of funds\, providing places are available. \nPlease note that online bookings close at 3pm on Friday 21st November. However\, some tickets will be available at the venue in the morning of the event (but only exact cash accepted as payment).
