Buddhist practitioners and those involved in the delivery of mindfulness based interventions often appear to view each other with mutual suspicion. However, both MBCT and Buddhist practice is concerned with the alleviation of human distress and suffering. How shared, or not, therefore are the horizons of MBCT and more traditionally Buddhist based approaches to mindfulness? Is what we are witnessing truly a meeting between a 2500 year old tradition and 21st century science? These and many other questions will be explored within this evening’s dialogue.
