This page is about peer-led groups, which usually meet without a teacher present.
Sitting groups offer the opportunity to:
The groups listed here are independent of London Insight. However all involve some people who have attended London Insight events or Gaia House retreats. Some of these groups also have formal or informal links with other organisations, such as Amaravati or the Community of interbeing.
If you would like to attend a group, please contact its organisers directly. For general enquiries about groups, or help with starting a new group, please email Gary at email@example.com. Gaia House has a useful webpage about setting up groups.
Please also contact us if you are a member of an insight meditation-oriented group which is not listed here: we are keen to support groups in order to foster the development of an insight community in London.
If you are completely new to insight meditation, joining a group may not be your best first step. Please visit our page of information for beginners.

This is quite an informal group, initiated by a few people who met on a London Insight introduction to insight meditation course. We meet monthly on a Monday evening, 7.00-8.30pm, to support our practice. No teachers but we listen to a guided meditation in the vipassana (insight) tradition and also do some silent sitting, and share our experience of what is helping us in practice, including London Insight retreats. The group meets in different people’s homes, in the N4, N8 and surrounding areas, to be a local resource.
